Lovingly Bound: a small press and book art fair
"Lovingly Bound is one of the many exciting literary events that are a part of the 215 Festival, Philadelphia’s annual celebration of books, art, indie publishing and music that takes place each fall in venues all over the city."
2007 festival performers include David Amram (jazz musician), Cornbread (legendary Philly tagger), Joyce Johnson (memoirist, muse), Jeff Lewis (comic book artist, musician), Sean McKnight (filmmaker), Jon Naar (veteran photographer), Beth Nixon (puppet-maker, palindromist), Ted Passon (artist, curator), Dito Van Reigersberg (performer), and Penny Vlagopaulos (Beat scholar).

On Saturday, October 20th, Veronica (Fractious/[SIC]/Seven Stories/Fiction) and Israel Mirsky (Fiction), will be moderating the New Technologies panel at the Facing Pages Conference. Facing Pages brings together literary presenters, publishers, and educational organizations for a statewide convening. The theme this year is New Leaders in Literature. Organized by LitTAP with support from the New York State Council of the Arts.

Lost Positives author John Cotrona was on a panel at the Independent and Small Press Book Fair called "Seize The Day: Groundbreaking Fiction Writers Charting Turbulent Waters." Watch videos of the event here.

"The ever-eloquent Ed Park, an editor for The Believer and former editor of the Village Voice Literary Supplement, moderated a panel on writing good fiction under the corporate gun. T Cooper, Peter Plate, and John Cotrona proffered animated commentary … Self-published author John Cotrona, who ‘purposely hadn’t smoked pot since noon,’ was lucid enough to mention the importance of good book design in grabbing the attention of potential readers … "
